Island Krk
The largest island in the Adriatic Sea , Krk is the center of Croatian culture. Inhabited by about 20,000 people, and about 400 square kilometers, Krk consists of such towns and cities as: Omisalj
, Punat, Malinska, Vrbnik, Dobrinj , and Baska. The mountains on Krk island form dreamlike valleys, the kind you thought you’ only see on a Postcard.
Once a part of the Roman Empire, in 1980 a Huge concrete bridge was built, connection the island of Krk with the Croatian Mainland. If traveling over the bridge, the first town you are to encounter will be Omisalj, a beautiful coastal town of about 2,000 people. A beautiful geographical piece of art, the Krk island is a beautiful vacation or travel spot .
