Porozina

 

Porozina is located on the island of Cres in the Kvarner region of Croatia. The Porozina cove is subjected to the winds from the South and West. At the port of Porozina there used to be a lighthouse that stood as a beacon the seamen of earlier times. The St. Nicholas church was errected in the 15th century and was remodled in the 18th. There are three marble statues from the Baroque period that stand at the church, you should not miss the opportunity to see these amazing statues while on your vacation.

The natural landscaping on the coast is shrouded with thick Holm Oak, a beauitiful sight to see. Some of the other landmarks that you don’t want to miss on your visit are the Stone Tower on Prestenice Point, the house on the hill just above the harbor and the Red Tower on the head of the pier. With a place that is so rich in history and surrounded by the most amazing seas you can’t be dissapointed when you visit the village of Porozina.
