There is also a small supermarket and a harbormasters office. The local attractions include the Zavratnica inlet where there is a sunken military ferry from WWII. The scenery from this point is amazing, and tourist flock to the island on Saturdays and on public holidays, the line to the ferry can stretch 2 1/2 miles on the main coast road.

While in Velebit you will want to explore the Sjeverni Velebit National Park which contains the highest peak in Croatia. Sjeverni Velebit is the newest National Park in Croatia, it was founded in 1999. This park covers the Northern section of Velebit Mountain and has splendid views that you do not want to miss. There is also another National Park on the Southern part of Velebit, this is Paklenica National Park. So although this is a small village, there is plenty to see.
