The island community of Sveti-Jakov is nestled at the foot of the two largest mountain ranges of the island, Mount Televrin with a height of 588 meters and Mount Sv. The first settlements to this area date back to the year 1280, when residents relocated to Sveti-Jakov from the mainland.
